Descending Pine Creek Canyon is a short but thrilling
adventure in the center of Zion
National Park.
The Pine Creek Canyon is deep, dark, cold and beautiful. A
descent involves, rock scrambling, five rappels (several overhanging) and
swimming through frigid pools. Pine Creek is rated 3B II on the ACA Canyon Rating System. On the afternoon of May 5, 2013 my wife Amy and I completed the descent in under three hours.
Several of the rappels finish in deep pools
