Upon returning to Jackson Hole from Greenland I was greeted by an exceptional mountain snowpack. Averaging nearly ten feet in depth, SNOTEL data indicated the water content of the snowpack in the Upper Snake River Basin was 144% of the 30-year average. The weather was equally agreeable; high pressure characterized by cold nights and sunny days produced one of the best crops of corn snow I have seen in twenty-five years. Even better, are the extraordinary friends with whom I reap the bountiful harvest.

"A ski track might be the most ephemeral and inoffensive imprint that mankind can leave in nature. This graceful evidence of a skier's passing vanishes with the ensuing storm. Whether it esses down a deep-powder slope or slices a route across a vast plateau, a ski track represents harmony between man and wilderness. And the tranquility born from swift, self-sufficient travel through harsh mountain environments inspires skiers to return again and again." - Thomas Turiano
Got. It. Done... Damn.
